Assistant Head Coach – Malmesbury Tennis Club, Wiltshire

 

Summary Description

Ignition Tennis have a fantastic team of coaches and support staff and are on the lookout for an Assistant Head Coach to be located at Malmesbury Lawn Tennis Club. Ignition Tennis is located in West Berkshire, South East England, with coaching programmes at multiple venues along the M4 corridor.

We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified individual with extensive club coaching experience and a proven background in developing club coaching programmes. The successful individual will be a career coach, extremely proactive and confident in being able to sell themselves and the coaching programme. You must also be highly organised and have great communication skills.

 

Venue Overview

Malmesbury is a thriving family-based club with more than 200 members. The Club is situated in the heart of the town and has 5 hard courts; 2 floodlit (with 2 more due to be floodlit by the end of 2016), a mini tennis court and practice wall.

 

Job Specification

Suitable candidate must have/be the following:

• LTA Level 3 or above (experienced Level 2’s working towards Level 3 will also be considered) (or International equivalent)

• Experience in coaching juniors and adults of all ages and abilities

• Experience in developing club and school coaching programmes

• Very good administration, communication and computer skills – in particular MS Excel and MS Outlook

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Always shows highest level of professionalism

• Outgoing and dynamic personality that can relate easily to adults and juniors

• Must be available to work hours on Saturdays and Sundays

• Higher education qualification in sports development/coaching/management is desirable but not essential
