Who we are

Vision 4 Growth is a not for profit organization based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire which was created in 2013 by Fiona Musgrove and Alex Wheen to raise awareness of visual impairment and provide Visually Impaired (VI) tennis sessions for people affected by blindness and sight loss. 

Since its inception Vision4Growth has evolved to work on other projects including partnership projects with local schools delivering workshops on sight loss, providing disability awareness training to employers, highlighting both Visual Impairment issues and other Disabilities on Disability Sports Network and developing a sensory garden for the local park in Cheshunt.

Vision4Growth actively recruits and works with volunteers who support their aims and provide help in a number of ways.

The vacancy of Tennis Coaching Assistant is a fantastic opportunity for someone to start their career as a Tennis Coach for the Blind and Partially sighted..  As part of the Cambridge Tennis Team held at Hills Road Sports and Tennis Centre., The Tennis Coaching Assistant will have a varied workload which will support the preparation and delivery of the organization’s Tennis events. .

The successful candidate will have to have either a Level 1 Tennis Coaching certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining as well as a DBS.  You will also need to be patient and understanding as some of our clients have more complex abilities. Experience of providing great Customer Service and have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as extremely proactive.

An interest in disability sport

Level 1 Tennis Coaching Certificate or be willing to obtain it

DBS will be required.

To work as part of a team

To be willing to take part in weekly sessions and extra tournaments if possible
