The AEGON Team Tennis Oxfordshire league has recently finished with over 100 matches being completed despite the rain.
AEGON Team Tennis is a singles based competition for registered places to play. Teams compete on a County basis in leagues across all of the age groups from 8U mini red to Open adults. The division 1 teams were made up of either 4 players playing 4 singles and 2 doubles whilst the division 2 teams were made up of 2 players playing 2 singles and 1 doubles rubbers. In both divisions matches were played either home or away.
Congratulations should go to Abingdon Tennis Club who entered junior teams for the first time this year and went onto to win the 12U Boys Division 1, 14U Boys Division 1 and Open men’s Division 1.
The 16U Boys Division 2 was won by Chinnor Tennis Club and North Oxford LTC won the 14U Boys Division 2.
In the girls events the 12U Girls Division 2 winners were a combined team from Witney LTC and Lower Windrush LTC and the14U Girls Division 2 was won by Woodstock Bowls & Tennis Club.
North Oxford LTC won both the mini red 8U purple division and the mini orange 9U purple division with the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre winning the 9U blue division.
