Is Safeguarding and Protecting Children important to you and your club?

On Wednesday 13th June the Oxfordshire Sports Partnership and Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (OSCB) are hosting a performance of Crossing the Line at Oxford Brookes University, Harcourt Hill Campus.

Crossing the Line is a must-see-event for anyone involved in delivering sport for young people including coaches, volunteers and club committee members.

The event will be open to the general public and anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of safeguarding issues faced within sport.

The audience will be invited to consider a range of issues including the way in which perpetrators of abuse can use sport to groom potential victims, the role of the welfare officer, whistleblowing, the impact of abuse on the individual, the club and the sport and the benefits of a pro-active rather than reactive approach to safeguarding.

General tickets for the event will be priced at £10.00.
