Remaining tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games are to go back on sale today from 1pm.
Although wheelchair tennis tickets sold out in the ballot earlier this year, access to unreserved seating in the venue at Eton Manor can be gained through the Olympic Park day pass, which will also be on sale from tomorrow.
Unprecendented demand saw a total of over 800,000 tickets sold for next year's Games through the balloting process and wheelchair tennis confirmed its popularity as all Centre Court tickets sold out. When combined with sales of tickets to other client groups and sponsors, over one million tickets have already been taken.
The Olympic Park day pass allows the holder access to a number of different events subject to availability on the day and wheelcair tennis is included within this.
Other sports to sell out earlier this year included track cycling, five-a-side football finals, shooting and wheelchair rugby. There are still limited numbers of tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the finals of the wheelchair basketball amongst others.
LOCOG Chief Executive Paul Deighton said: "The Paralympic Games are coming home next year and this will undoubtedly be a time of extraordinary pride for our nation. I’m sure many will see these tickets as the perfect Christmas gift."
Sir Philip Craven, President of the International Paralympic Committee, said: "To have sold over one million tickets worldwide for next year’s Paralympic Games is unprecedented and underlines the growing appeal of Paralympic sport.
"My message is simple: buy your tickets now, as I can promise you that you will witness something pretty special next year."
Tickets will be available to buy from the London 2012 ticketing website. Full price tickets start at £10, with tickets for senior citizens and young people aged 16 and under costing only £5. Tickets will remain on sale until 6pm on 6 February 2012.
Tickets will only be available on a first come, first served principle online and by phone for those purchasing with a Visa credit or debit card.
