Watch a video with some action from the weekend and feedback from volunteers who attended the sessions.
Volunteers from across the country came to the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton last weekend to get the latest updates on how British tennis is growing and progressing.
In attendance were volunteers from tennis venues as well as officials, organisers, club members and LTA representatives from all over Great Britain.
The attendees took part in a number of on & off court activities and were updated on current and new activities & priorities within British tennis, as well as being able to share ways of working locally with examples of best practice.
Spread across two days the volunteers experienced a breadth of programmes and updates and seemed to enjoy their time as well as benefitting from the experience.
@BucksLTA: Good last few days at the NTC with@BritishTennis for British Tennis Experience for Volunteers. Great people doing great work! #growthegame
Hilary Webster, LTA Lead Volunteer & Councillor, said: "The weekend was action packed, with a programme full of information on the working priorities of British Tennis relevant to our Counties and Clubs. It introduced new initiatives and a wealth of shared best practice amongst the delegates.
"There was a great atmosphere and plenty of 'on court' action. Information was given on the developing pathway of tennis for people with disabilities along with Cardio Tennis and Tennis Xpress. It was obvious that all who took part enjoyed the experience and we are lucky that British Tennis cares so much about its Volunteers.
"It was a great opportunity to bring the Volunteers and the LTA workforce together and we are already looking forward to next year."
@StephenBiggs: @BucksLTA @BritishTennis was indeed a useful and inspiring two days, thank u to the lta organisers
Tony Scott, from Hertfordshire, said: "Being part of such a brilliant event at the National Tennis Centre gave me a great insight into how the LTA is working in British tennis and trying to achieve a great future for the game in our country. It made me feel very proud to be an active part of British tennis in trying to make tennis a top sport within out country."
