Andy Murray and Heather Watson will continue their Australian Open preparations by spearheading Great Britain’s Hopman Cup challenge at the state-of-the-art Perth Arena between January 4-10.
Team GB, finalists in 2010, have not featured at the event since 2011 and have been drawn in Group B alongside France, Poland and Australia.

Hopman Cup Factfile:
- Founded in 1989 and named in honour of former Australian tennis player and coach Harry Hopman.
- Eight nations, consisting of two players, are divided into two groups of four to play in a round-robin. The two group winners meet in the final.
- 2015 is the first time Team GB has a team at the Hopman Cup since 2011.
- Andy Murray and Laura Robson reached the final in 2010 before losing to Spain.
- Andy Murray has won six and lost one of his seven singles matches.
- 2015 is Heather Watson’s debut in the event which is now held at the Perth Arena.
- A French team of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Alize Cornet won the event in 2014.
- Serena Williams and Andy Murray are the only two players involved to have won a grand slam singles title.
- 2015 is the 27th edition of the Hopman Cup and the sixth time Team GB has competed.
- The USA have won the event six times and been runners up four times.

2015 Tournament Details:
Each tie consists of a men’s and women’s best of three sets singles match. This is followed by a best of three sets mixed doubles match with the final set decided by a 10-point Match Tiebreak.
