Volunteer of the month - Andy Long

Andy Long has won the September Volunteer of the Month award for his work as Welfare Officer at Cuddington & Sandiway Tennis Club (CSTC).

Andy won the award for helping the club to improve their procedures and create a safe and inclusive environment. Andy is reasonably new to the Welfare Officer role, but has been extremely proactive from the start and worked closely with the LTA’s Safeguarding Team to better support Cuddington & Sandiway Tennis Club.

Mathew Lea, LTA Safeguarding Officer presented Andy with the Volunteer of the Month award at CSTC in the company of fellow members and other volunteers. The club were extremely proud of the occasion, with Mike Linsell, Chairman of CSTC, saying that it was great that the LTA had acknowledged Andy’s hard work and that the award was reflective of the club’s positive culture and ethos.
