Enter our exciting digital competition for a chance to win a trip to the National Tennis Centre and a £100 Tennis Equipment Voucher

British tennis has launched an exciting digital competition, aimed at young people in further education colleges, that gives them an opportunity to talk about, and celebrate how tennis leadership and volunteering can provide opportunities for them to develop a variety of transferable skills and build confidence through real life vocational experiences.  If you are planning on delivering the LTA Tennis Leaders course this year, here’s a great way to introduce your learners to the course and get them thinking about the wider benefits of tennis leadership and volunteering.

Further education colleges are being invited to create a short video showcasing how they are using the LTA Tennis Leaders course to develop leadership skills within a tennis environment. We want to hear how young people are learning through tennis and how they will be deployed to put their skills into action either supporting tennis activity in local primary schools and community tennis venues, or supporting delivery of tennis enrichment activity within their own college.

The winning college will win a trip to the National Tennis Centre and a £100 Tennis Equipment Voucher.

All colleges entering the competition will also be in with a chance of winning one of six £50 Tennis Equipment Vouchers, by means of random selection from all other valid entries that the TF (at its complete discretion) deems to qualify for entry into the Competition.

How to enter

The judging panel are looking for entries that demonstrate how colleges and their learners are using, or planning on using, the LTA Tennis Leaders course as a means to:

a)         be innovative in delivering leadership skills within a tennis environment;

b)         celebrate how tennis leadership and volunteering can provide opportunities for young people to develop transferable skills and build confidence through vocational experiences;

c)         support tennis activity in local primary schools and community venues, or support tennis enrichment activity in colleges.

 It’s really simple to enter – just follow these three steps:

 Step One        Speak to staff and learners at your college and get everyone to start thinking up exciting and creative ideas to include in your video.

Step Two       Create your film and make sure you get across the key messages our panel are looking for, as listed above.

Step Three     Submit your video (three minutes max) to British tennis via the simple file sharing website: www.WeTransfer.com with: education@tennisfoundation.org.uk as the recipient email address. All entries should include a staff contact name, contact number, full college name and postal address.

 The competition is now open for entries and will close at 5pm on Friday 5th June 2015.
