Katie Swan has won the Aegon Junior Player of the Month award for August after playing a key role in regaining the Maureen Connolly Challenge Trophy and reaching the Grade 1 Canadian Open Junior Championships singles final.
Swan, along with Maia Lumsden, Gabi Taylor and Freya Christie, defeated the USA 9-3 to win back the Maureen Connolly Challenge Trophy. Then Swan reached the Canadian Open Junior Championships final before finishing runner-up to No.2 seed Elena Ruse.
Katie Swan then finished her month by making the second round of Junior US Open, defeating American Claire Liu in the first round.
