Sam Hayes has won the Aegon Coach of the Month award for June for his work as Head Coach at Newtown Tennis Club.
Sam runs a wide range of programmes at Newtown Tennis Club and has been influential in bringing mini tennis and touch tennis to the club. He mentors all level 2 coaches and has been key to improving and sharpening the clubs coaching sesssions. Alongside his work at Newtown Tennis Club Sam coaches in Manchester and Wrexham.
Chris Neville said: "Sam is well liked and highly respected by all our members and his leadership as our head coach is providing the drive to expand our programmes, increase membership and highlight tennis as a fantastic sport for all in our mid Wales community."
On receiving the award Sam said: "I'm delighted to have been chosen as the Aegon Coach of the Month for June. The award is testimony to all the hard work put in by the coaching team at Newtown."
