Jordanne Whiley has won the November Aegon Player of the Month award after beating the world number one twice on her way to finishing third at the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters.
In two of the biggest singles wins of her career, Jordanne first downed Yui Kamiji from Japan 6-2, 6-3 in the group stages before narrowly losing to Aniek van Koot in the semi-finals.
But two months after becoming the first Briton to win the calendar year Grand Slam with a doubles win at the US Open, Jordanne beat Kamiji once more to finish third.
Earlier in the month at the Nottingham Indoor ITF 1 Jordanne also won the doubles event with compatriot Lucy Shuker alongside reaching the singles final.
