Katie Swan has won October's Aegon Junior Player of the Month after finishing runner-up of the Japan Open Junior Championships.
Swan reached the Grade 2 Japan Open Junior Championships final before falling to Japan's Chihiro Muramatsu 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(5) in the final. Swan also made the quarter-finals at the Grade A Osaka Mayor's Cup before having to retire with injury.
Following a successful October Katie Swan has reached a new career high ITF junior world ranking of 40.
