Katie Swan continued her fine form in the Junior Girls’ Singles at the Australian Open by knocking out top seed Shilin Xu of China in straight-sets.
The British Junior No.1 now faces American Raveena Kingsley in the quarter-final after her confident 6-2, 6-2 victory.

After her match, Katie said: “I had a pretty clear strategy what I wanted to do and thankfully it worked pretty well.
"I'm just going to take it one match at a time. It seems to be working so far. I had a lot of match practice last week and I've been focused on this tournament for a while.
“I'm feeling really good with my game and that's been showing on the courts so far.
"My dream is to be number one in the world, just as I'm sure everyone's is at my age in this tournament. But I'll take everything one step at a time and see what happens."
Doubles:
Dom Inglot and Romanian partner Florin Mergea were beaten 6-4, 7-6(3) in the quarter-finals by Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau.
Inglot and Mergea, who earlier in the week sent top seeds the Bryan Brothers crashing out, went down to a single break in the first set and lost the second on a tie-break.

Junior Doubles:
Emily Arbuthnott is through to the semi-finals of the Junior Girls’ Doubles with Danish partner Emilie Francati.
The No.10 seeds beat Xinyu Gao and Olivia Tjandramulia 6-4, 6-7(3), 10-7 and will face Katharina Hobgarski and Greet Minnen for a place in the final.
