Jamie Murray continued his winning ways at the Australian Open by edging a tight mixed doubles match with partner Hao-Ching Chan.
Murray, the only British representative in the mixed doubles, lost the first set with his partner from Chinese Taipei 6-4.
The second set went to a tie-break which went in Murray’s favour 9-7 before they won the Super Tie-Breaker 10-8.
Murray, also in the third round of the men’s doubles with John Peers, left the court after one hour and 40 minutes.

Juniors:
Two juniors also got their Australian Open campaigns underway with Katie Swan and Emily Arbuthnott playing their first round matches.

Swan beat New Zealander Jade Lewis, the niece of 1983 Wimbledon finalist Chris Lewis, 6-2, 6-2.
It was not to be for Arbuthnott though as the youngster went down 7-5, 6-0 to Chihiro Muramatsu of Japan.
