Rafael Nadal defeats Andy Murray in French Open

Eight time French Open Champion Rafael Nadal defeated Andy Murray in straight sets in the semi-finals at Roland Garros.

Nadal was on top throughout and took only one hour and 40 minutes to defeat Murray 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 and set up a final against Novak Djokovic.

After the match, Murray said: "He played a great match, he hardly missed any balls. He served very well. His forehand, especially with the conditions the way they were today, it was very hard to control the ball. As soon as he was inside the court, he was hitting the ball so close to the line. He played great tennis."

Murray will now head to The Queen's Club to defend his 2013 Aegon Championships title.
