Watch video highlights of Andy Murray winning the men's singles final
Andy Murray has won the men's singles title at the Aegon Championships 2013 beating Marin Cilic 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in the final at The Queen's Club.
The British No.1 delighted home fans by coming from a set behind to defeat the defending champion as the sun came out in London on Sunday.
"It's not an easy tournament to win," said Murray afterwards, "You look at the list of players who have won this. Some of the greatest players that have played have won here, and they always get a really, really strong field with top grass court players. To come through after the last three, four weeks is really, really nice."
On the tight final with Cilic, Murray added: "He's one of the best grass court players in the world. Me and Marin have played against each other since juniors, and we have had a lot of close matches and tight matches. I was lucky to come through in the end because he was playing great tennis."
After a strong start and a 4-1 lead for Murray it was the Croatian world No.12 who hit back, winning six of the next seven games to take the opening set 7-5.
The second was a tense affair with both players forcing breakpoints but being unable to capitalise as the score reached 6-5 to the Briton. However the world No.2 stepped it up, breaking in the 12th game to take the second set and the match into a decider.
In the third set the momentum, and the crowd support, shifted firmly in Murray's direction and the British No.1 capitalised and raced into a 4-1 lead after breaking the Croat in the fourth game.
Cilic held his next service game forcing the two time champion to serve it out, which he duly did, wrapping up the match and his third Aegon Championships men's singles title in the process.
