Thursday 28 June: Wild Card recipients announced by ITF
Friday 27 July: Olympic Opening Ceremony
Saturday 28 July: Olympic Tennis Event Starts
Sunday 5 August: Olympic Tennis Event Finishes
Sunday 12 August: Olympic Closing Ceremony
London 2012 Tennis Format
Men’s and Women’s Singles: 64 players for the singles events will qualify as follows:
- 56 Direct Acceptances
- 6 ITF Places (wild cards)
- 2 Tripartite Places
Men’s/Women’s Doubles: 32 teams for the men’s and women’s doubles will qualify as follows
- 24 Direct Acceptances
- 8 ITF Places (wild cards)
Mixed Doubles: 16 teams for the mixed doubles will qualify as follows:
- 12 Direct Acceptances
- 4 ITF Places (wild cards)
