Noisy start to my day. The Abu Dhabi grand prix track circles the Yas Viceroy hotel and there were a few boy racers out there early doors. Took this pic from the Breakfast Vroom. That is not a typo, by the way. Just trying to be smart!

Spent an hour lounging by the pool on the 8th floor before heading in to Sport City to watch practice and do the coaches clinic. Andy hit for an hour with Ferrerrrrr who is probably the ideal training partner because he hardly misses a ball and his intensity is outrageous, then he played a set with The Berd, while I went to deliver an on court session for 20 or so UAE coaches along with Matt Little.
I really Iike the way this event maximises the players and their teams time by arranging all sorts of activities that give the local tennis community a chance to get a slice of the action and close to the stars. There have been several kids and adult clinics every day, autograph signing sessions, photo shoots, coaches clinics, Q&A and meet n greets.
Andy practiced with Ferrerrrrrr this morning. This is Daveed taking the tweener to another level. Look no hands. :)
Took a stroll around the event today and visited a cracking interactive kids zone which had a super mini court where the backdrop was the 6 players. Check out this wee guy mixing it with the big guns!
Cracking kids zone at the tourney. Check out this little dude mixing it with the big guns on the mini court.
And how about this for target practice. The Holy Wall? Hahah
Fabulous interactive kids zone at the MWTC. I called this one The Holy Wall. Haha.
Djoko is here with his 2 younger brothers - Marco and Djordie - both budding tennis players......and while he was taking Ferrer to the woodshed yesterday, Andy hit the gym for a weights session.
According to Matt Little (who appears to be tickling him) this is a Romanian Dead Lift. When I asked how heavy the bar was, Andy said "80 kilos. It's like lifting ur fitness trainer, only less hairy," hahah.
Then there was a signing session at the autograph station, followed by some poster/shirt/cap signings for sponsors and charities, back to the hotel for an ice bath....q and a with The Berd at the player cocktail party....and finally dinner in the hotel's Japanese restaurant at 9.30pm. Long day!
The Muzz and Berd Show. Pity you can't see The Berd's silver sequinned Jimmy Choo baseball boots. Yeh, really. He was looking seriously cool.
