Steve Metcalfe, the 2011 champion at the Taunton Wheelchair Tennis Tournament and the runner-up in last year's event at Taunton Tennis Club is among the leading entries again for the second tournament in the 2013 Tennis Foundation Wheelchair Tennis Development Series.

Metcalfe's opposition will include Steve Crompton (pictured), winner of the men's section in the Development Series in 2012, and Pim Palmen, the British-based Dutchman who was a quarter-finalist in the men's singles in two of Britain's world ranking events in Preston and Sunderland in February. Palmen recently won the men's consolation singles in Sheffield, beating Metcalfe in the final.

Hatti Dingle, a former semi-finalist in the women's singles in Taunton, and Sarah Gaisford, winner of the women's singles at the 2012 Development Series event in Plymouth are also among the entries, along with Portsmouth's Karl Ives, who will be looking to follow up his win in the B Division Singles in Edinburgh last weekend, in his first ever tournament.
