British interest in the Turkish Open came to an end on the third day of play in Antalya as Lauren Jones finished runner-up in the junior singles, while bowing out in the semi-finals of the women's consolation singles. Paul Stewart also saw his challenge come to an end in the men's doubles semi-finals.

Jones made a brave attempt against her 16-year-old male opponent Nicolas Lagmann, but was just edged out in the opening set of their decisive round-robin junior singles contest before Langmann completed a 7-5, 6-0 victory.

Jones also had a closely fought match in the last four of the women's consolation singles against Yang Tsai-Ying, but the Chinese Taipei player just proved the stronger to earn a 6-4, 7-5 victory.

Stewart and Sweden's Dan Wallin bowed out of the men's doubles after a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Greek duo Stefanos Diamantis and Giorgos Lazaridis.

Paul Stewart and his Swedish partner Dan Wallin moved into the men's doubles semi-finals on the second day in Antalya, while Lauren Jones reached the women's consolation singles semi-finals and won her first junior singles match.

After their first round bye second seeds Stewart and Wallin beat Turkey's Hakan Gungor and Nicolas Langmann of Austria 6-0, 6-1 to set up a semi-final against Greek duo Stefanos Diamantis and Giorgos Lazaridis.

However, Stewart's singles challenge came to an end when Wallin dominated their men's consolation quarter-final to win 6-0, 6-2.

The world No. 2 ranked junior girl also won the first of two round-robin junior singles matches, beating Turkey's Aysegul Zararasiz. Jones faces a male opponent in her second match when she plays Langmann.

However, Jones and Turkey's Busra Un saw their women's doubles title defence come to an end in a thrilling semi-final. Despite having four match points and saving three match points, Jones and Un eventually slipped to a 6-1, 3-6, (14-12) loss to Turkey's Ebru Bulgurcu and Diede de Groot of the Netherlands.
