Andy Murray & Colin Fleming finish as runners-up in Rogers Cup doubles 

Andy Murray & Colin Fleming were defeated 6-4, 7-6(4) by Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares in the Rogers Cup doubles final in Montreal on Sunday.

After the match Fleming tweeted: Thanks for all the nice messages and support this week. Not to be today but a week I will never forget!

Fleming now sits at a career high of 22 in the ATP doubles rankings.

Ernests Gulbis knocks out Andy Murray in Montreal

Andy Murray's run of singles victories, extending back to May this year, has been ended by Ernests Gulbis of Latvia. The world No.38 defeated the Wimbledon champion 6-4, 6-3 in round three.

However Murray & Colin Fleming have progressed to the quarter-finals of the doubles after A 6-3, 6-3 victory over the fourth seeds Paes & Stepanek. The duo will now take on fifth seeds Qureshi & Rojer.

Andy Murray defeats Marcel Granollers in Montreal

Andy Murray secured his 13th successive win by beating Marcel Granollers 6-4, 7-6(2) in the second round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal on Wednesday.

The world No.2, who was playing his first match since winning Wimbledon, faces Latvian world No.38 Ernests Gulbis next.

Murray, who came through his match in one hour and 50 minutes during windy conditions, commented: “The goal is to get through as many matches as possible this week, obviously the conditions the way they are, it was tricky.” 

Murray also saw success with fellow Britain Colin Fleming as the duo moved into round two.

Dominic Inglot & Jerzy Janowicz into round two of Rogers Cup 

Dominic Inglot & Polish partner Jerzy Janowicz reach round two of the Rogers Cup after a 7-6(4), 6-4 win over Begemann & Bopanna. The duo take on sixth seeds Linstedt & Nestor next.

Andy Murray back in Canada

Andy Murray is a two-time former champion in Canada, winning back-to-back titles in 2009 defeating del Potro and then Federer in 2010. He is playing his first event since winning Wimbledon while also teaming up with fellow Briton Colin Fleming in the doubles.

In round two, after receiving a bye, the British No.1 plays Marcel Granollers.

Dominic Inglot partners 2013 Wimbledon semi-finalist Jerzy Janowicz of Poland.
