Naomi Broady has reached the second round of the women's singles in France after defeating third seeded Italian Alberta Brianti 7-6(2), 6-4 in her opening round match. Broady plays Renata Voracove (CZE) next.
Jade Windley who qualified for the main draw, missed out in her first round match to fourth seed Maryna Zanevska 6-2, 6-0.
Meanwhile in the doubles, Broady & Windley were defeated in the opening round.
