Lucy Shuker finished runner-up in a Super Series doubles event for the fourth time in her career on the final day of the Sydney International.
Shuker and Marjolein Buis of the Netherlands, who were playing in their first tournament together as a doubles partnership, lost 6-1, 6-0 to the all-Dutch top seeded pairing of Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot, the reigning Doubles Masters and Wimbledon champions, in the final.

British No. 1 Lucy Shuker reached the fourth Super Series doubles final of her career on the penultimate day of play in Sydney after partnering Dutchwoman Marjolein Buis to a hard fought 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 victory over Yui Kamiji of Japan and Ju-Yeon Park of Korea.
Shuker will now bid for her first doubles title at the top tier of tournaments outside of the Grand Slams.
Second seeds Shuker and Buis face a tough task against reigning Doubles Masters champions and top seeds Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot of the Netherlands in Tuesday's final.

Gordon Reid got closer than ever to beating French world No. 1 Stephane Houdet on the third day of play in Sydney, but bowed after a final set tie-break in their men's singles quarter-final.
Reid took Houdet to a third set for the fourth time in the nine matches the two players have contested on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, but Houdet held on to progress to the semi-finals 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(4).
While Reid saw his unbeaten record for the season end against Houdet, he also saw his unbeaten doubles record with Dutchman Maikel Scheffers come to an end.
After winning their first two tournaments together, Sydney third seeds Reid and Scheffers lost out to second seeds Michael Jeremiasz of France and Shingo Kunieda of Japan 6-2, 6-2.
Lucy Shuker's scheduled women's doubles semifinal was postponed due to rain and therefore second seeds Shuker and Marjolein Buis of the Netherlands will now face Japan's Yui Kamiji and Ju-Yeo Park of Korea on Monday's penultimate day of the tournament.

Gordon Reid eased into the men's singles quarter-finals on the second day in Sydney after defeating Korea's Sam-Ju Kim 6-1, 6-1.
Reid now faces a much tougher task against world No. 1 Stephane Houdet of France in the last eight on Sunday.
Reid also progressed to the semi-finals of the men's doubles as he maintained his unbeaten partnership with Dutchman Maikel Scheffers. In their first match of 2013, third seeds Reid and Scheffers beat Kim and Steffen Sommerfeld of Germany and will now face second seeds Michael Jeremiasz of France and Shingo Kunieda of Japan for a place in the final.

It was mixed first day for the Brits in Sydney as Gordon Reid advanced comfortably in the men's singles, but Lucy Shuker bowed out of the women's singles to Dutch world No. 6 Sharon Walraven.
After winning his first tournament of 2013 at the Adelaide Open, seventh seed Reid registered his third 6-0, 6-0 win in four matches so far this year as he beat Australia's Keegan Oh-Chee to set up a second round match against Korea's Sam-Ju Kim on Saturday.
Reid and Maikel Scheffers of the Netherlands are third seeds for the men's doubles and have a bye into the quarter-finals, where they are scheduled to play Kim and Germany's Steffen Sommerfeld on Saturday.
Shuker went into her first match of 2013 having beaten Walraven twice in 2012, but despite a close contest in temperatures approaching 40 degrees, Walraven had the upper hand on this occasion to win 6-3, 6-3.
British No.1 Shuker will partner Marjolein Buis of the Netherlands in the women's doubles and the second seeds will face Yui Kamiji of Japan and Ju-Yeon-Park of Korea over the weekend after having a bye through to the semi-finals.

Gordon Reid and Lucy Shuker fly the flag for Britain at the Sydney International Open, the first of six Super Series events on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour in 2013.
On the back of winning the men's singles and doubles titles at the Adelaide Open, his first tournament of 2013, Reid will be aim to keep his success going and the British No. 1 is the seventh seed in Sydney, where he plays young Australian Keegan Oh-Chee in his first match.
Reid has a fine record in his last to Super Series tournaments, having reached the men's singles final af last July's British Open and the semi-finals of the USTA Wheelchair Championships.
Reid will also pair up with Dutchman Maikel Scheffers for the men's doubles as the duo bid to maintain their unbeaten record as a partnership, having won their only to tournaments together to date.
British women's No. 1 Lucy Shuker, currently world ranked No. 7, has narrowly missed out on a seeding and will play Sharon Walraven of the Netherlands in her opening match, having beaten world No. 6 Walraven twice during 2012.
