Jordanne Whiley won her second successive ITF 1 Series title on Friday and beat her third different world top 10 ranked opponent this season to win the Korea Open in Seoul.

Whiley, who slipped just outside the world's top 10 herself earlier this week when her points for reaching the semi-finals in Korea last year came off her 52-week total, stretched her unbeaten record against Japan's world No. 7 Yui Kamiji to 3-0 after recording a 6-4, 6-4 victory.

The British No. 2, who beat British No. 1 and world No. 5 Lucy Shuker a month ago to win her first ITF 1 Series title at the Atlanta Open, will now return to the world's top 10 again in next week's rankings.

Kamiji had come into the tournament on the crest of a wave after winning her first Super Series title at last week's Japan Open.

Whiley will now partner Kamiji in Saturday's women's doubles final, which will end with another British winner, as Louise Hunt and her Korean partner Ju-Yeon Park will be on the other side of the net.

In their first tournament since helping Great Britain to win the silver medal in the women's World Group at the 2013 BNP Paribas World Team Cup, Jordanne Whiley and Louise Hunt line-up for this week's ITF 1 Series event at the Olympic Tennis Park in Seoul, where they also won the bronze medal at the 2012 BNP Paribas World Team Cup.
