Jamie Burdekin and Antony Cotterill finished runners-up in the quad doubles at the Cajun Classic as Cotterill and Adam Field reached an all-British quad consolation singles final.
Second seeds Burdekin and Cotterill edged out Canadian duo Adrian Dieleman and Gary Luker 6-4, 3-6, (10-2) after a match tie-break in the quad doubles semi-finals to earn a place in their second ITF 1 Series doubles final in as many weeks. But once again they found top seeds and three-time Paralympic champions Nick Taylor and David Wagner too experienced as the American duo clinched the title 6-1, 6-3.
Burdekin also faced Wagner in the quad singles semi-finals for the second week in a row, but world No. 6 Burdekin was unable to earn his second career win over the world No. 1 and Wagner gained a 6-3, 6-2 victory before going on to win Sunday's final.
With Cotterill having bowed out in the first round to Wagner, he and Field advanced to the consolation singles final after Cotterill beat Francois Trawalter of France 6-4, 6-4 and Field eased past Julio Rueda of Guatemala 6-2, 6-1 in Saturday's semi-finals. However, injury resulted in Cotterill having to withdraw from the final resulting in Field taking the title after a walkover.
