Jamie Murray & John Peers moved into the semi-finals with a 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 victory over Lindstedt & Pospisil. Dom Inglot & Treat Huey reached the quarter-finals before falling to top seeds Mike & Bob Bryan 7-5, 7-6(4).
Colin Fleming & Jonny Marray made it to the second round before being defeated 6-2, 6-4 by No.2 seeds Granollers & Lopez.

All the British doubles players progressed to the next round in Shanghai, as Dominic Inglot & Treat Huey (PHI) defeated Mirnyi & Tecau 6-7(4), 7-6(2), 17-15 and will face No.6 seeds Bopanna & Roger-Vasselin in the second round. Colin Fleming & Jonny Marray overcame Gonzalez & Lipsky 3-6, 7-5, 10-7 and will now play No.2 seeds Granollers & Lopez for a place in the quarter-finals. To round of a great day in Shanghai Jamie Murray & John Peers defeated Rosol & Tomic 7-5, 6-4, in the second round they will face Benneteau & Zimonjic [7].
