Marc McCarroll became the second British winner of the men's singles title since 2010 at the Tennis Canada International as he completed back-to-back ITF 2 Series events in North America with three titles from four events.

Second seed McCarroll beat Japan's Takuya Miki for the second week in a row after a third and final set tie-break in the final in Montreal to repeat his win over Miki in the semi-finals of the PTR Championships in the USA. McCarroll led top seed Miki by a set and 4-3 before having his serve broken late in the second set, but held on in a thrilling finale for a 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(3) victory to claim his fourth men's singles title of 2013 and his second at ITF 2 Series level.

McCarroll later partnered Miki to claim the men's doubles title. The top seeds took the first set of the final from French duo David Dalmasso and Lahcen Majdi 6-3 before Dalmasso and Majdi retired. Victory for McCarroll saw him follow up his PTR Championships men's doubles title with fellow Brit Gordon Reid, who claimed the men's singles title in Montreal in 2010. McCarroll and Reid were semi-finalists in the men's doubles in Montreal in 2011.
