Andy Murray through to US Open final

Andy Murray is through to the US Open final after a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (7) win over Czech Tomas Berdych.

The British No.1 came back from a set down in windy conditions to be in his fifth Grand Slam final, his second in New York.

"It was brutal," said the third seed. "The ball was moving, stopping, there were chairs flying.

"They were some of the hardest conditions I've ever played in and I come from Scotland, so that's saying something."

Murray will either play defending champion Novak Djokovic or Spain’s David Ferrer on a Monday final after play was pushed back because of poor weather.

Speaking about his potential opponent 25 year-old Murray said: "Novak and David are very tough opponents. Anything can happen in these conditions but I'll give it everything I have."
