British junior Kyle Edmund has won the Junior US Open boys’ doubles title with Portuguese partner Frederico Ferreira Silva. The eighth seeded duo played sixth seeded Australians Nick Kygios & Jordan Thompson coming through in three sets 5-7, 6-4, 10-6.
In the boys’ singles, 13th seeded Briton Liam Broady finished as the runner-up in Flushing Meadows after a 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 defeat by second seed Filip Peliwo (CAN) in the final.
The 18-year-old from Stockport was aiming to become Britain's third winner of the title in nine years after Andy Murray in 2004 and Oli Golding in 2011.
