Description:  This course is aimed at tennis coaches (at all levels).

Are your player’s prepared for the physical demands of tennis? Some young athletes may not be prepared or be strong enough to handle the demands of weekly sessions and weekend competitions.  For example, coaches may question why players are not getting low enough, look unbalanced or cannot attain certain positions on court.  The answer to this is most likely that the player cannot manage their own bodyweight with good alignment, stability and control.  This workshop will educate coaches how to identify, assess and improve areas of physical weakness, inflexibility and instability through functional bodyweight strength exercises that can be incorporated into sessions and warm ups.

This course will educate tennis coaches on functional bodyweight strength skills of minis and junior tennis players that can be performed alongside agility, balance and co-ordination drills.  It will also look at up to date research in regards to athletic development.

ABOUT US:  Creating Athletes works with athletes in a wide range of sports.  We also educate coaches in sport science, athletic development and strength and conditioning.  We deliver a wide range of sport science workshops to coaches and teachers that are specific to tennis.  These workshops/courses include strength training for children and young athletes, speed/agility movement efficiency, injury prevention and nutrition.
