It’s that time of year again when the annual Sportivate funding pot of just over £70K becomes available for you to bid for! Applications for Yr 3 need to be submitted no later than 31st Jan so there is no time to lose!
tB&L’s Sportivate programme has been gradually gathering momentum over the last 2yrs and now incorporates initiatives that have extended Sportivates reach beyond the more traditional partners LA/NGB and schools. Over 2012 we have forged links with the School Games and Sportsmaker Programmes, Sportivate has been used to provide some diversionary work with YOT & the Youth Service in Central Bedfordshire and we are now developing links with the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, The Scouts Ass and StreetGames.
With 60% of NGB Whole Sport Plans targeting 14-25yr olds and austerity still too often curbing what we can deliver, perhaps it’s time to think creatively about how you can use Sportivate to add value to what you can offer? Could you link Sportivate with a Community Games event to either launch the activity or provide a competitive outlet after the 6wk Sportivate prog –Com Games Grants of £250 are available in 2013….I am more than happy to help, just let me know !
Please ensure that any applications that you submit are completed on the Yr3 Sportivate Application form -those that are submitted on the wrong forms will be incompatible with SE’s Spreadsheet and will be returned.
