Thousands of young athletes from across the country are picking up a racket and playing competitive tennis as part of the School Games Festival this Summer.

Putteridge Primary School, Bushmead Primary School, Southcott Primary School and Brickhill Primary School from across Bedfordshire were victorious in their local borough or partnership Year 3&4 Mini Tennis Red competition to earn their place in the County Finals with Putteridge Primary School emerging as the winners on the day.

Tennis Development Manager Neil Twitchett, said: “It was great to see so many students enjoying competitive tennis. All players tried their hardest and were a credit to their school. I hope to see all the players involved continuing to play tennis and showing the skills they have learnt”
