Halton Tennis Centre ran a marathon 12-hour “Coach-a-thon” from 9pm Friday to 9am Saturday, with tennis members paying for one-hour sessions with the coach of their choice from Halton's coaching team – with 3 courts in continual use throughout the night. Thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of both coaches and members, as well as cake sales and fun “Pudsey” events in the clubhouse throughout the evening, the event raised close to £2,000, to be split between Children in Need and Halton's fund-raising campaign for the first 12 & Under Tennis Europe Tournament to be held at Halton in Summer 2013.
