Jersey's Aiden Varela competed in the Bournemouth Open Grade 2 competition last month, battling it out against some of the best 10 & Under players in the United Kingdom.
The 10 year old, who trains at Grainville Tennis Club in Jersey, achieved his Green 1 mini tennis rating earlier in the summer and gained entry into the competition on the clay courts at the West Hants Club in Bournemouth.

"It's great to see more young talented players emerging from the Channel Islands. Aiden works extremely hard and commits to travelling to the UK to compete against other players at national competitions and we're looking forward to seeing him progress this winter"
