Cheshire ladies claim 3rd place in the country in group 1 of the AEGON Summer County Cup

Having been promoted to Group 1 after the 2012 Summer County Cup the team competed in Eastbourne at the end of July.  Without the county’s two top players Samantha Murray and Naomi Broady, Cheshire took a young team including the two youngest in the event, Beth Taylor (15) and Eden Richardson (14).  The team beat Surrey, Lancashire in a nailbiting match which went down to the wire and Warwickshire to finish 3rd in the top group after Bucks, the 1st time champions and Hertfordshire winners from the previous year. 

This was a magnificent effort and huge congratulations to everyone in the squad all of whom contributed to the team’s success - Vicky Basnett, Pippa Carr, Amanda Murray, Eden Richardson, Kim Schmider, Katie Sidell, Lisa Sutton, Beth Taylor and Katie Taylor.
