The Powder Byrne Junior and Open Tennis Trophy is a national event open to players of all standards and is a Grade 3 LTA approved postal tournament.
The Junior and Open tournament (age 10 and over) operates in a postal format wherein players organise their own matches on a date that suits both players in the draw, with the player with home advantage having the choice of location. The tournament culminates in a finals weekend held at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre.
Eve Daniels qualified for the finals weekend of both Under 12 and Under 14 events at Bisham Abbey on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of December. Unfortunately nerves got the better of Eve in the Under 12 final but she bounced back to beat a girl two years older than her to take the Under 14 title.
A huge congratulation must go to Eve because there were a huge number of entries so this is a magnificent achievement
