We are delighted to announce a new Singles League designed to help junior players find suitable opponents for Ratings matches.
The Cheshire Tennis Singles League is organised as 4 “Seasons” per year with 2 “Rounds” per Season. Within the League there will be boxes that are specifically for Rated players. The leagues are targeted for players in the under 12, 14 and 16 age groups with ratings from 10.2 to 8.1. Hopefully this will be a great way to get lower rated players competing.
You play matches on dates and at times that are convenient to you, Tennis Jeannie will help you arrange your matches. There is no obligation to play all matches, play as many or as few as is convenient and match results are submitted to the LTA weekly.
Should your Player Rating improve you will be promoted to a box that reflects your new rating for the start of the next season which gives you the chance to gain a double Ratings promotion each Season.
The Singles League format has been used very successfully in other areas of the UK and we are sure it will be a great success here in Cheshire.
The really good news is that entry into the Singles League is normally £12 but as a launch promotion we are able to offer the Winter Season Leagues free of charge.
