On Friday 28th February - Sunday 2nd March 2014 the U18 girls county team played at Wirral Tennis Centre in Bidston, competing in Division 3b.
The team consisted of : Eden Richardson, Beth Taylor, Faye Worrall, Ellie Tsimbilakis, Hannah McColgan, Sally Atkinson, Katie Merrick, Amy Ball and Gaby McKeever.
The other counties in the division were : Lancashire, Avon and South Wales.
Our first opponents would be our old foes Lancashire. After a mixed start, nerves settled down and the girls ran away with a comfortable 8-1 win.
Day 2 would be against Avon. With the help of a strong low order we ran into the lead and never looked back.Hannah McColgan yet to drop a game in her singles would provide the positive start that Cheshire needed-pushing the team to another comfortable 8-1 victory.
The final day would put us against South Wales who on paper would be a tough opposition and who had also beaten Avon 8-1.The team fought hard all day and managed to put themselves in a positive position going into the doubles resulting in only needing one doubles rubber.Ellie Tsimbilakis and Hannah McColgan capitalised from the start to take the team to a 5-2 win and over South Wales.

Cheshire would finish winners of group 3b gaining promotion to group 2 next year.
