Sunday 21st September saw the 38th annual Monkhouse Shield take place at Congleton LTC. The event was organised by John Doe with wife, Marion ably assisted on the day with the refereeing. Sincere thanks have to go to Monkhouse Sports for their sponsorship.
Fantastic weather expertly organised with all nine courts in full use from 10.00am to 5.00pm with all the teams finishing within minutes of each other. There was a great turn out with lots of parents and supporters, who all stayed for the whole day, many enjoying the range of homemade cakes and pastries provided by the team of volunteers at Congleton LTC.
