Giles Foden and Rachel Turner triumphed in the last of the Charity Doubles days at David Lloyd Cheshire Oaks on Saturday 3rd September.
Despite some spirited opposition over five rounds, including a very close semi-final against Charles Tomkinson and Cindy Fryer and a hard fought final against Luke Myles and Sarah Rees, Giles and Rachel registered their first win in the series.
Almost 200 players have taken part over the season helping to raise more than £2,000 for the Youth Trust.
It would not have been possible without the generous support of David Lloyd Cheshire Oaks and the single-minded hard work of Annie Doyle ensuring we had a full compliment of players at each event.
If anyone would like to become a patron of the Cheshire County LTA Youth Trust (for £20 per year) please contact Anthony Wilding (anthonywilding77@yahoo.com). Every penny raised goes towards helping Cheshire's young players achieve their potential.
Lots of more mature tennis players will have woken up on Sunday morning feeling the affects of a great tennis workout on Saturday!
