We are delighted to announce that David Paterson has been awarded the AEGON Team Tennis League Organiser 2016.
This rewards the huge amount of work David has put in to organising the competition on behalf of Cheshire County LTA. In fact his efforts have produced some great statistics because 2016 saw a record number of teams enter with an increase from 229 in 2015 to 259 teams across all age groups. Even more impressive, the match completion rate was the highest in the country at 93% and far exceeded the LTA’s own target of 80%. “I am so pleased” said David “It does take an enormous amount of work to organise this league. It starts in January and I'm only just tying up the loose ends now at the end of July!” The Division 1 Finals were held at Hale LTC once again where almost 150 players and supporters enjoyed the tennis.
Many thanks David for all the work you've put into making AEGON Team Tennis so successful again. It is really appreciated by Cheshire County LTA and the teams that have enjoyed playing this year. Well done!
