North Cheshire LTC, in Wallasey, is delighted to have completed important improvements to our pavilion – thanks to a generous “Make a Difference” grant from Cheshire LTA. The project made the pavilion fit for purpose by installing a pair of glazed French doors into the long elevation, with an associated access ramp from the pathway. This created a second means of escape, wheelchair-friendly access, a lighter interior and better viewing of the courts. The existing rotten door in the short elevation was replaced with a new glazed outward-opening door, and the unsafe threshold strengthened. North Cheshire’s secretary Richard Wilberforce said:
“The Club is delighted with the transformation of the pavilion that these improvements have achieved. We are especially pleased that we were able to get everything in place for the start of the new season. North Cheshire LTC is very grateful to the County for offering the grant and for the speed with which the entire process was handled.”
