The Aegon County Orange Team event was held at Penzance Tennis on Sunday 4th June.
It was a shame that a few clubs were unable to field a team but Penzance,Newquay and Redruth battled it out on the day for the chance to be crowned Orange County Team Champions.
After many close matches in the singles rounds Newquay and Penzance were drawing . A couple of great matches from Redruth against Newquay meant that the doubles matches would decide the winning team.
After some very close nail-biting three set matches the overall results were:
Penzance 1st place with 15 points
Newquay 2nd place with 13 points
Redruth 3rd place with 2 points
Excellent tennis was played throughout the day and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. There was a nice presentation at the end of the tournament with Medals ,Prizes and Certificates given out by the Penzance Coaching team.
