The Cornwall county finals took place on Sunday 8th June in sunny Newquay. Players from Penzance, Heron, Falmouth, Perran, Menheniot, Saltash, Truro and Wadebridge took part. It was lovely to see so many new players qualifying and taking part in the tournament.
The results went as seeded with Tadhg MaClean from Heron Tennis the winner after a closely fought final against Freddie Stone from Penzance, decided in the 3rd set match tie-break. Bethany Cole won the girls competition beating fellow Wadebridge player Sian Temple.
Tadhg and Bethany will now play in the national finals at the All England Club Wimbledon in August.
