Flybe have been supporting Devon and Cornwall's U10 tennis players for 4 yrs. The support has provided many great opportunities for all from grass roots to performance players.
Last week 22 players from Devon and Cornwall visited West Hants High Performance centre in Bournemouth. Supported by Debbie Hale Talent Performance Co-ordinator, Lucie Ahl Flybe Ambassador, with coaches Simon Huddart, Rhys Dunsford and Thomas Leach.
The green ball trip was run Sunday to Tuesday with a total of 14 hours of tennis including fitness. The trip is lead by West Hants coaching team, which really push our players to the highest level.
The orange trip ran Wednesday to Friday with Lucie Ahl supporting this trip, was again a great insight for our players to the performance journey they are on.
The players trained each morning on clay courts a new experience for many, they developed new skills. In the afternoon the Team then competed against West Hants for the trophy, over the 4 days the scores were tallied with the greens leading by 78 points. The oranges just required to stay close. The final day was very close however with a solid lead and good scores the Flybe Team were victorious for the 2nd year in a row.
