With great support from the parents and the players Penzance Tennis Club are organising FREE internal fun competitions aimed at children who are wanting to have a go at competing.
These are held every month for a different age groups and colours for Mini Tennis.There will be small prizes and certificates given to everyone that takes part and while we have a captive audience we will be educatiing the parents regarding the pathway of competition in Cornwall.
The main aim of these events are to introduce players to tournaments and use these as a stepping stone to the successful Flybe events throughout Cornwall.
Competition is a such a great way to get the children actively participating in sessions. It makes them motivated to start thinking about the game. It gives them a sense of success and also develops comradeship with the other team members.
