Oshi Leverton (Dragon Performance Centre) and Noah Bradwell (Hampshire) were chosen to represent the South West of England U10s team. Playing against the East the matchplay took place at the Delta Centre, Swindon.
The East team had just spent 3 days training at the National Tennis Centre and were up for the challenge. Oshi played Cameron Yuiell from Batchwood HPC regarded as one of the best U10’s in the Country.
Oshi had a battle on his hands but playing brilliantly went 4-0 2-0 up before losing concentration. Despite a match point at 11-10 Oshi lost by the narrowest of margins 13-11. Noah also played a great match but couldn't secure a victory for the South West. Well done for being chosen and better luck next time boys.
Oshi has also been selected for the Invitational U10 Boys National Clay Courts tournament at Queenswood, Hertfordshire in May. We wish you good luck for that event.
