Growing the Competition Workforce across Devon & Cornwall

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

An LTA Tennis Competition Organiser Workshop took place at Exeter Tennis Centre on 14th October 2014.  The course is the starting point for those who want to run local tennis competitions, and gives the skills and knowledge to run a tournament from start to finish, whether that be at a local park, club, school, college or university.

The revamped course saw 6 keen individuals from Devon and Cornwall attend the 3 hour interactive course with attendees being given the skills to grow competition opportunities in their area.

There are two more workshops upcoming in the region, Winchester Racquets Club on 17th November and Bristol on 3rd February; To view full details on these courses and to book your place please visit www.LTA.org.uk/Courses  If you are interested in becoming a Tennis Competition Organiser or Referee then please do contact the South West LTA team – SouthWest@LTA.org.uk

Chloe Joslin, Regional Tennis Competition Coordinator, said “The Competition Organiser course has some fantastic content and really gives attendees the knowledge to run competitions whether this be fun informal competitions at their clubs or more structured matchplay.  We are looking to grow the Competition Workforce in the region and this workshop is the starting point of that process”.
