Well they say “the sun shines on the righteous”, and although the full phrase apparently goes on to add that it also shines on the unrighteous, whatever the truth of the matter, there can be no doubt that the weather gods were certainly kind for everyone who turned out for the recent Free Winter Tennis Open Day at Heron.
In glorious and surprisingly warm autumn sunshine, and with barely a puff of wind, around 80 people came along to enjoy the wide range of tennis activities laid on through the morning by Heron’s coaching team.
The open day sessions showcased just a few of the many different tennis sessions available at Heron for everyone, but the club strives to be as friendly and welcoming as possible to individuals and families and the programme looks after as many different people’s needs as possible.
From toddlers of 2½ through to our super seniors over 60’s groups, from beginners right through to our top academy players, from people looking to make friends as they hit a few balls about through to those who love to compete, whatever you are looking for Heron has something to offer and non-members are equally welcome!
